A Special ViVa Dinner and Charity Fundraiser with Sir Richard Feachem ViVa extends a BIG thank you to all those who supported our fund-raising dinner and evening with Sir Richard Feachem on November 9th, 2012. It was a great success with attendance af 120 people and funds raised in excess of $10,000 which will go towards the purchase of a new Doctor's truck for Tanna. We are especially grateful to the generosity of Sir Richard and his wife, Neelam Sekhri, for the donation of their time and for Sir Richards's eloquent talk, "Medicine, Malaria, and Melanesia: Celebrating Small Aid". Sir Richard Feachem is Professor of Global Health at the University of California and former United Nations Under-Secretary General, Dean of the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, and architect of the $30 billion Global Fund to eliminate HIV, malaria and TB.
